Get Lucky - Lorie O'Clare
A review for The Romance Reviews:

Five stars for great romance, sizzling sexual tension, a gripping and suspenseful plot, and characters you can't help but love. Yeah, GET LUCKY is a hit.

This is the second installment of The Bounty Hunters series by Lorie O'Clare and the fun starts immediately. You don't have to read book one to understand GET LUCKY, but I can let you know that I enjoyed this one even better than the first.

Marc King, a bounty hunter from L.A., goes to Aspen, Colorado to get away. When he checks in to his ski lodge, he's sees the most beautiful woman he's ever seen working at the check-in desk. What's more, she's quick-witted and very good at her job. Her name is London, and although he's not into relationships, he wouldn't mind having a bit of fling with her while he's on vacation.

London Brooke lives her life in a very ordered way. She works and goes home. Being the child of career criminals, she's worked hard to keep excitement and chaos out of her adult life. So when Marc King walks in, all big and sexy, she tries very hard to resist him. But Marc lives for the hunt, and right now he's hunting London. What he doesn't know is London is hiding secrets that ends up putting them both in danger. They've got to figure out who's behind the danger or risk losing each other forever.

This was a fantastic read. Fast-paced, great action, sizzling chemistry, and wonderful characters. It was drawn in from the beginning when Marc and London meet. She's giving him crap because all the girls are checking him out like the eye candy he is, and I immediately knew they were perfect for each other.

Marc and London compliment each other in every way. London is strong and independent but at the same time vulnerable because she's never really had anyone who's truly been there for her. I would have to say, she's my favorite character in the book. She's had to fight against all kinds of odds to carve a life out for herself, and she is determined to live it a certain way. But when the man she loves is in danger, she's willing to put all that aside and do what needs to be done to get her man.

Marc is the large man who screams sex appeal and danger but has a huge heart. And isn't it great watching those big hulking alphas fall hard? The sexual tension between the two of them was off the charts and quickly grew into something deeper.

The secondary characters were great too. Marc is a part of a family of bounty hunters, and his brother Jake is quite the trip. Also, his cousin Natasha, the computer guru, makes quite the appearance in this book and helps save the day. Marc's parents Haley and Greg (from the first book, Play Dirty) are also back.

The suspenseful plot made this book for me. There's a bit of a story in a story as Marc and his family are trying to solve the mystery of "The Game" that's being played out, and the Kings seem to be at the center of someone's strategy. But they don't know that London is also being involved, until it's a bit too late. Watching it unfold though made the book virtually impossible to put down.

The fantastic characters, an engrossing plot, blazing sexual chemistry, intermixed with a love story made GET LUCKY a definite winner for me. I know the story isn't over with the game, and I an on the edge of my seating waiting for more of that plot to be unveiled.
