This one was hard for me to get into. I think the dubious consent wasn't sitting right with me because Kelsey and Theo never had a real conversation about their power exchange before he just started "taking" from her. That made me cringe. BUT, they both enjoyed their relationship and things that Theo did to her so I guess that's what matters.
I thought that the backdrop of circus culture was very interesting and really helped make this story about more than just sex. I thought the ending was a bit rushed, but enjoyed it all the same.
I really like Annabel Joseph's work. She always makes these interesting characters that have my feelings about them go all over the place because they have so many layers.
I will definitely be continuing with this series. I look forward to seeing what's next for the Cirque.
