I know that the television series is over, but I love that I'm still able to visit my favorite OCD, ultra-phobic detective, Adrian Monk.
In this book, we seen Mr. Monk, Natalie, Captain Stottlemeyer, and Lt. Disher. Monk is brought into a case of a firehouse dog that's bludgeoned to death, and ends up unearthing a conspiracy that leads to more deaths. Only Monk's brand of detective work could solve this one.
Although this wasn't nearly as good as the series (I mean, Tony Shaloub made that role!), this was enjoyable. And I was so happy to get more of Monk since I was sad to see his show go off the air.
The narrator did a good job of bringing this story to life, but I don't think I would have enjoyed this nearly as well if I didn't have prior knowledge of Tony Shaloub's interpretation of Adrian Monk to form a picture in my head.
I definitely continue with this series, and can't wait to see what kind of trouble Monk finds himself in next time.
