Magic Bites - Ilona Andrews

I listened to audio of this for the second time because to tell you the truth, I really didn't remember listening to it the first time *hides head in shame*.  I looked at my review of it, and it just didn't bring anything back to me.  And I've heard so many good things about the series, I really didn't understand why I hadn't gone forward with the series.

So, I decided to listen to it again, and while I remember the plot, I certainly don't remember being so into this story last time.  This was FANTASTIC! Maybe it's because I've gotten more in to UF with Chloe Neill, Patricia Briggs, Karen Marie Moning and the like being on my auto buy list but, I was immediately drawn to Kate this time.

I loved the tension between her and Curran.  I can't wait to see where that leads, and I loved the mystery aspect of the story.  I have already gotten on hold at the library for book 2 on audio because I loved the narrator's (Renee Raudman) interpretation of Kate.  She's got the dry, snarky and sarcastic thing down cold.

And when the heck do we find out what Kate really is????  The authors really dangled that carrot in front of me a few times.  GRRRR, I really wanted to know that answer.  I guess I'll have to more forward in the series to see!

I'm so glad I listened to this again.  I've found a new series to enjoy!
